Badger Creek Trail is located at Fall River Lake, roughly 70 miles east of Wichita and two miles north of Hi Way 400. The trail heads are located north of the east end of the dam, along the east side of the lake on paved Badger Creek Rd. Follow the signs directing you to Whitehall Bay Campground. Both trails are marked with signs and designated Hiking/Biking.
The south trail head leads you onto a single entry trail that branches into a completed looped trail of approximately 4.1 miles in length and can be ridden/hiked in either direction. A second trail head, also designated Hiking/Biking is located 600 yards to the north beyond a low-water bridge on Badger Creek Rd. This 4 mile loop starts and returns to the kiosk and is also a two way trail. You will find a primitive picnic area at around 20 yards from the kiosk.
Over rolling terrain, the trails wind mostly under a tree canopy cover in the area known as Cross-Timbers and is completely within the Corps of Engineers Boundaries. The trails are a nice mix of flowing, twisty singletrack with large rock formations at intervals that will make you work followed by enough recovery to keep it fun.
The trails are in the Public Hunting Area and will be closed during Firearms Deer Season and part of the Archery Deer Season. Discretion is advised during the Spring Wild Turkey season as hunters may be present . Helmets required.
