Mixed Levels

Enjoy go-at-your-own pace round-trip group rides in Reno County. Open to all levels of cycling abilities. Bring your bike, a helmet, water and an appetite to enjoy a tasty treat at our destination before heading back to Hutchinson.

Join us for orienteering in the woods! Use a special map to navigate from check point to checkpoint. Several options available, from intro level to advanced. Instruction offered, and event is free for first timers. Have fun playing in the woods in this warm winter weather! Appropriate for kids and adults.

Let's go fly a kite at the Arboretum! Purchase a kite or bring your own and come enjoy watching them fly through the air in this scenic backdrop. Kites allowed only during event. No pre-registration necessary, included with admission.

Open to youth 8 - 15 and women of all ages. The day starts with breakfast, followed by safety instructions. Participants will be grouped by hunting experience.
Hunts are organized in areas that are not open to the public. An excellent opportunity in a safe environment.
Lunch, a trap shoot are afternoon activities with a banquet in the evening.

How People Make Things tells the story of how everyday items are manufactured and brings to life the people, ideas and technology that transforms raw materials into finished products. This exhibit will run from January 30, 2016 – May 1, 2016.

Learn our state symbols as we celebrate the birthday of Kansas. Duplicate programming offered both days. Participants must RSVP to receive discounted price. Regular admission applies day of event.

A View from Space, a new, highly interactive, hands-on science exhibit, will allow visitors to see the world from a satellite's perspective. This exhibit will run from January 16, 2016 – May 1, 2016.
