Event Description:

Perry Lake reached a new record over 921' lake elevation set on May 29. Many parts of Perry Lake Hiking Trail have been underwater for extended periods. Driftwood, other debris, erosion and other concerns will be addressed this fall.
Initial plans for cleanup are underway and, assuming that waters recede by this fall, we'll be removing debris and repairing damage at that time.
Some preliminary work outing dates for cleanup are:
October 19
November 2
November 16
One or more of these dates may include overnight camping and more work the following day. More details will be posted here and on the Perry Lake Trail facebook page once we have an assessment of the areas needing cleanup and repairs.

What to Bring: We have a trailer with power equipment, as well as extra hand tools such as bow saws, loppers, as well as specialized tools such as Pulaskis and McLeods. Bring work gloves and any additional hand tools you are comfortable using. If the weather is cold, be sure to dress in layers. Also be sure to have sunscreen and insect repellent. Also bring snacks and plenty of water.
