Start a new holiday tradition for your family. Old Prairie Town will be filled with lights and activities around every corner. Visit the Lingo Livery Stable to make magic reindeer feed, help an elf on the railroad hand car, write a letter to Santa at the depot, take pictures with Santa in the Mansion, enjoy fresh baked cookies in the Ward Cabin, and hear a story read by a local celebrity in the school house and seasonal music in the church. Families can enjoy shopping for nostalgic gifts or treats in the Mulvane General Store and Potwin Drug Store.
Decorate your bike with battery operated holiday lights and ride through Lawrence with the Lawrence Mountain Bike Club.

After you have stuffed yourself full at Thanksgiving...it is time to get outside! Instead of spending hours in a shopping mall come out and geocache at Cedar Bluff State Park! We will have refreshments in the office after you are done. The office will be open 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Please use hash tag #optoutside #cedarbluff when you post your pictures of you having fun!

This trail begins at the main trail head and meanders along the rim to a viewpoint about 2/3 mile to the west. This viewpoint provides a glimpse of the many ravines which have funneled water over the eons to carve out the 100 foot high formations below.
This trail is a gravel trail leading from the main trail head and parking to an overlook on the east side of the park. From the overlook the Niobrara chalk formations stand like sentries guarding the nearby prairie. From different angles and time of day, the formations take on many different appearances that are always inspiring.
