Who: this training is for people who have completed at least three previous orienteering courses. Training will be provided by experience Orienteer Kansas members.
What will we do:
Teach orienteering skills such as aiming off and attackpoints
Discuss race skills and strategies
Practice these skills in the woods
What should I bring?
Bring a compass, if you have one (we have some you can borrow). We will be outside the whole time, so come dressed for the weather. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little muddy. A change of shoes and socks (for after) is suggested if the weather is wet. A water bottle is nice to have.
