Event Description:

Sunday - June 24: 8:00AM at the Corps Trailhead (not the office). Light lopping from Corps trailhead to Lands End. Ideally this will go really fast with 8-10 people but we can make it work with any number. Please wear long pants and bring bug spray and water. We'll provide the loppers and the stuff to lop!

What to Bring: Wear long pants, sturdy shoes and bring water bottle & bug spray

Event Description:

Ride with Back Country Horsemen of America-Kansas, Sunflower Chapter. Be in the saddle at 9am; return to camp approx 1pm for potluck lunch and obstacle course fun. Hot dogs/buns provided, bring dish to share. For camping reservations or directions, visit blackhawkhorsecamp.com.

Location Details: Meet at Blackhawk Horse Camp, take Highway 75 approx 4 miles south of the Hwy 56 exit to 189th. East on 189th about 4 mi to Croco Rd, then south 1.8 mi and follow Y to the left. Event Description:

Form team for a 14-mi bike ride/3-mi run/14-mi horse ride along the Flint Hills Nature Trail, Osage County. Pre-register to guarantee a spot. Timed divisions and recreational division. Bikes go 7 mi and back; then runners go 1.5 mi and back; horseback riders go last. Do all three legs yourself or form a team. Mgmt will help group teams, upon request. $60/individual ($5 discount before 10/1.) Team, $30 per leg ($5 discount before 10-1.) Camping, lodging, corrals available. Lunch available for purchase. Water, sports drinks, healthy snacks provided.

What to Bring: Hoof protection recommended for horses. Bicycle tires appropriate for Flint Hills Nature Trail.

This trail ascends and descends the steep bluff on the west side of the park and connects with the hiking trail at several points.
