Rock City has been the favorite picnic playground for every generation since the founding of Ottawa County and even traveling wagons before then. We welcome visitors from around the world and every state in the U.S. every year. The park contains the largest concentration of sandstone concretions in the world - some up to 27ft. high. You can explore, climb and photograph this unique geological wonder 7 days a week, all year long from dawn to dusk. We are one of just five National Natural Landmarks in Kansas. Rock City Inc. is a non-profit volunteer custodian of the park. No tax moneis are devoted to the operation of the park - we rely solely on admission donations and memberships but we turn no one away. In addition to the incredible rocks, we offer a nature trail, restrooms, gift shop/learning center, picnicking, geocaching and tours are available by appoiintment. Dogs on leashes are welcome!
