The Sunflower State Games is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 28th Annual multi-sport festival. The 2017 Sunflower State Games will take place July 14-30 in Topeka at approximately 35 different venues. The 2017 games will feature over 45 different sports for all ages and skill levels. The second annual Great Kaw Adventure Race is scheduled for September 24, 2016 and will include just over 30 miles of running, canoeing, and cycling in Eudora and De Soto. Two-person teams are given up to six hours to compete against one another in a 7.5 mi. run through Eudora, followed by an 11.5 mi. canoe segment on the Kansas River, then an 11 mi. bike ride from De Soto back to Eudora on pavement and gravel. As with all adventure races, physical and mental challenges are interspersed throughout the course to keep teams on their toes.

A 9 hole, Par 3 course in the City Park. It is a challenging course around trees, end even a water obstacle, watch out for the swimming pool. The course is close to Joe Campbell Baseball Stadium and the Rossville Community Pool. The Shelter House in the park is perfect for a picnic.

Washunga Days is an annual festival that celebrates the culture - both past and present - of Council Grove, showcasing the city and all of its amenities. The proceeds of the festival provide the Council Grove/Morris County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism funding to promote the area, ultimately supporting the community at large.

A Washunga Days button is needed for entry! Buttons may be purchased at half price ($5) until June 16 at 5pm. At the door, buttons will be full price ($10).

Forty five activities for all ages and skill levels will commence city-wide across Topeka. There is something for everyone, participant and spectator alike!
