On Saturday October 21st from 8:30AM to 10:30AM, join CISCRP and Stormont Vail Health in celebrating Medical Heroes, study volunteers who participate in clinical trials and make new medical treatments possible. Bring your friends and family for a scenic run and walk, free health screenings, food, a bib raffle! Please join us whether you plan to run, walk, or just enjoy the festivities!

The Flint Hills Nature Trail Cycling Event is designed to show off the entirety of the converted trail to the outdoor running community. With its multiple towns located along the route, the nature trail is perfectly poised to host a recreational ride and will serve to highlight the communities along the way as well as the Flint Hills region. The ride will have multiple distance options, beginning in different communities along the route, and culminate with a finish celebration at the Riverwalk in historic Council Grove.

Orienteering is a great outdoor activity for the whole family! Use a specialized map to navigate your way from point to point. The route is not marked: you get to choose the best route. Different courses are available for different skill levels, short for beginners and kids, up to 8k for runners who want a challenge. We are also offering special time bonuses (see the website for further details). You can walk and enjoy the park, or run as fast as possible and go for the win!

Bell Joy Ride is an informal women's mountain biking group. It's not a club or a team. There is no membership fee or initiation. You don't have to join or commit to anything. Just show up! We host rides organized by rider level/ability. Beginners to advanced and everyone in between can join. We offer opportunities to connect with other female riders in a casual, friendly environment. Our goal is to have fun!

The Kansas Senior Games are the Sunflower state's own multi-sport competition for ages 50+. The Kansas Senior Games takes place over two weekends each September in Topeka. The 2016 Kansas Senior Games hosted a total of 817 participants who competed in 17 sports. Athletes traveled to the capital city from 21 different states and more than 220 communities. The Sunflower State Games is proud to host this event designed to encourage active and healthy lifestyles for ages 50+.

The Sunflower State Games is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 28th Annual multi-sport festival. The 2017 Sunflower State Games will take place July 14-30 in Topeka at approximately 35 different venues. The 2017 games will feature over 45 different sports for all ages and skill levels.
