Displays from garden organizations and volunteers will inspire and motivate you to build creative container plantings for your own patio, window boxes, entryway and back yard. Exhibition entries are welcomed; email katharine.garrison@opkansas.org if you are interested in submitting your idea.

Come out and enjoy kite flying every Sunday in April from 12:00 to 5:00. Bring your own kites or purchase them at the Leatherwood Depot at the Arboretum. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food and drinks at the Arboretum. Enjoy additional activities for kids and a photo booth.

Sunday April 12th KANSAS CITY KITE CLUB!! A three story kite and others will be flown (weather conditions permitting). Exact time will be determined by wind conditions.

Artists Sketch Crawl

Enjoy a morning of creating art in the many lovely gardens at the Arboretum. Bring your own art supplies (pencils, pens, ink, markers, crayons, watercolor paints and paper, etc.) An informal sharing of the morning's efforts will be held in the Visitor's Center.

Come learn about all the outdoor activities there are to see and do in Manhattan and surrounding region. This is the 7th annual Get Around 2 It and will include 40+ booth with activities, music, food, prizes and fun. This event is free on Thursday April 30, 2015 at Blue Earth Plaza from 5-7:30 pm.
