The Topeka Horseshoe Association, the city of Topeka and the Kansas Horseshoe Pitchers Association have been trying to bring the World Horseshoe Tournament to Topeka for many years.  Topeka will be hosting the 2 week event July13 – 25, 2015 at the Kansas Expocentre.  This two-week event attracts 1,500 athletes of varied backgrounds and multiple countries to compete for world class champions in Men’s, Women’s and Junior divisions at all skill levels of this classic backyard pastime..

Horseshoe pitching families are pretty excited about having the tournament in Topeka, KS, being that is in the central part of the US.  Many of the participants plan their family vacation around the world tournament, and the Topeka, KS area is a destination most families can easily drive to.

To participate in the 2015 NHPA World Tournament, adult pitchers must have competed in four sanctioned horseshoe events prior to May 15, 2015. Youth may apply if they have participated in one sanctioned event prior to May 15, 2015. $200,000 in cash prizes and Scholarships are awarded to class pitchers and the overall tournament winner garnering $4,000.
