Event Description:

Why wait for the weekend? The longest trail in Kansas at 117 miles, this all volunteer, Rails-To-Trails project crosses five counties in eastern and central Kansas and it's all there for you! Trail map details can be found on http://kanzatrails.org/flint-hills-nature-trail/map/ Open to non-motorized traffic 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset, this is the largest privately managed rail-trail in the country. With spectacular views and wide open, clean Kansas air you can't go wrong on this adventure. Enjoy this unguided activity for a mid-week break!

What to Bring: Comfortable and weather appropriate clothes and shoes, water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, sun glasses and your attitude for outdoor fun!

Location Details: Traveling east to west, the Flint Hills Nature Trail traverses Osawatomie, Rantoul, Ottawa, Pomona, Vasser, Osage City, Miller, Admire, Allen, Bushong, Dunlap, Council Grove, Wilsey, Delevan and Herrington.
