Event Description:

The Spencer, Wernli and Wilson Storm the Dam Trail run is a chip timed trail run which winds through scenic El Dorado Lake State Park and adjacent private property. The double loop marathon, half marathon and 10K connect to the Teter Nature Trail; with some challenging single track trail. Depending on rainfall expect some wet and muddy crossings. Storm up the dam and enjoy lake views as you run along the lakeshore. Grassy moderate rolling hills of the Boulder Bluff horse trail await you next, work your way through the Walnut Ridge Trail before crossing the finish line near the amphitheater.

The 5K starts with a storm up the dam, enjoy lake views as you run along the shore, find adventure on a short portion of trail course, cross the Walnut River bridge for a final push on paved surface to the finish line.

Marathon course limit is 6 hours

No bicycles, automobiles, roller skates, roller blades, skateboards, baby joggers, or animals allowed on the course.

Each mile is marked throughout the course, and six volunteer staffed aid stations await you with food and hydration.
