Calling all gearheads and auto buffs to the Smoky Valley Classic Car Show! Check out over 100 classic automobiles in the shade-filled Swensson Park with vendors galore, Saturday, August 1st. Download a registration form on the City of Lindsborg website. Registration is $15, before July 31 and $20 the day of the event.

Awards are given out to participants including: Best Club Participation for the largest paid registration from a single Club and the Long Haul Award for the furthest distance traveled by the car. Popular awards are Police Chief’s Choice and Sheriff’s Choice for the cars most likely to be stopped by those agencies, and the Kansas Highway Patrol award for the car most likely to be stopped for no reason at all! Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., judging is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and awards will be given out from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. For registration call (888) 227-2227. Dash plaques will be given to the first 125 entries.

Enjoy a picnic in the park, choosing from a variety of food vendors, or visit quaint and historic downtown Lindsborg just two blocks away. Experience the small town charm of Little Sweden, USA. Amenities include contemporary shopping, unique art galleries, running and bike trails and fun dining. There is something for everyone! Lodging options include a Scandinavian inn, cozy B&B, upscale vacation rentals and hotels.

What to Bring: No entry fee, with the exception of those showing an auto. Bring a water bottle and lawn chair. Swensson Park is a short walk from shopping and food options that include Swedish dining, pub dining, Chinese and Mexican food.

Location Details: Swensson Park is a large park featuring many shade trees, a band shell, public restrooms, a large picnic shelter and a playground featuring a Viking ship, musical play, slides and Swedish heritage artwork.
