Event Description:

Orienteering around Lexington Lake Park in DeSoto
Intro - (2k) You will march through grassland and follow trails. There are also two wooded off-trail segments that have colored tape to help guide your way.
Intermediate - (3.5k) Trails will get you within eyesight of six of the controls. However, overlanding some legs will cut your distance considerably. Look for other handrails, too.
Advanced - (5.8k) Bring your complete bag of orienteering skills. There are choices galore and one wicked-long leg that will put your thumb to the test. You should not be climbing any stone fences today; either take the indicated crossing or follow a trail through.

What to Bring: DRIVING NOTE: 91st ST has been extended to the West to fully connect Lexington Ave to Sunflower road. So if you are approaching the park from the East on K-10, you may exit Lexington Ave and go one block North to 91st St. Take 91st St West to Sunflower and you will see the park entrance. This new road does not yet show on google maps.
