Event Description:

Orienteer Kansas will be using the North Short Trail System for a meet. The Start / Finish line will be in the Corp of Engineers Overlook Area. They will be utilizing the trails from Mile One to Mike 2.6 (The road that goes down to Boat Ramp and the Clinton Marina. This is a small event that will have 30 people scattered looking for "treasures".

Orienteering is a competitive international sport that combines racing with navigation. It is a timed race in which individual participants use a specially created, highly detailed map to select routes and navigate through diverse and often unfamiliar terrain and visit control points in sequence.

Orienteer Kansas promotes the sport of orienteering by holding events and training sessions, organizes the participation of its members at local and regional competitions, and recruits and encourages the development of new orienteers. OK is a member of Orienteering USA.

Location Details: Start / Fishing at the Corp of Engineers Overlook Area. Take a Right at the end of Clinton Parkway/10 Hwy, then the 1st Left into their area. Go through their gate to the Trail Head near the big playground.
