Event Description:

Each year in June the Forest inducts honorees, honoring those who have, or still are, contributing to all facets of aviation and aerospace. Embedded in the Forest's walkways are granite plaques engraved with the names of over 1,400 honorees. These include such aviation notables as Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Jeana Yeager, the Wright Brothers, Sally Ride, Chuck Yeager, General "Jimmy" Doolittle, and Col Eileen M. Collins, the first woman to pilot a shuttle into space, as well as those who have contributed in many other ways.

The 2016 activities (the Forest's 40th year) will be held on June 17-18th (Fri-Sat). The schedule for the Saturday morning (June 18th) ceremonies at the Forest is:
• 9 – 11 a.m. – Children’s Program
