Event Description:

Join GHF as we tour two vibrant and creative gardens that exemplify the beauty, enjoyment, and benefits that come from gardening with native plants.

During the tour, participants will experience the gardens up close and learn about the design process from the gardeners who created and maintain them. The tour will be led by Roxie McGee with the Douglas Co. Extension Master Gardeners and Patti Ragsdale, owner of Happy Apple’s Farm.

The tour will begin at 8:00 am at the KU Native Medicinal Plant Research Garden, 1865 E. 1600 Rd., Lawrence. The second half of the tour will start at 9:15 at Happy Apple’s Farm, 17524 178th St., Tonganoxie.
