Event Description:

FHDC Members: $25 | Non-Members: $30
In this workshop, we will discover not only what lies above ground, but also consider and imagine what is below ground. Scientific methods of inquiry and observation will be used to learn about the ecosystem of the prairie. This important and “hidden” world will serve as the basis for paintings that address both the seen and the unseen aspects of life in the Flint Hills. Students will complete a painting that contains both observed imagery of plants and grasses as well as imagined life underground.
Open to students in grades 4-6. No prior experience required. All course materials included with program fee. Pre-registration is required and space is limited so sign up today at www.flinthillsdiscovery.org/masters or call 785.587.2726.
