If you have always wanted to try painting outdoors, but didn’t know where to start, this workshop will give you all the information and encouragement you need. If you have already tried plein air painting and want to take it to the next level, then you will want to participate in this special two-day watercolor workshop taught by nationally recognized artist and Flint Hills Master, John Hulsey. John has been painting and teaching watercolor for over 30 years and has written numerous articles for national art magazines like American Artist and Watercolor, among others, discussing his techniques and approach to outdoor painting. Learn the secrets of the pros through his on-location demonstrations and individual attention.
Participants are responsible for bringing their own supplies. A list of required materials and equipment will be provided. Participants should be appropriately dressed for the current weather conditions. Meet at the Konza Prairie Biological Station Nature Trail kiosk. Pre-registration is required and space is limited so sign up today at www.flinthillsdiscovery.org/masters or call 785.587.2726.
