Painting outdoors, or plein air painting, has become extremely popular again and many of the top galleries are once again exhibiting this exciting representational painting style. Although challenging, it can also be the best way to learn unless you have the coaching of an expert guide. Join award-winning painter John Hulsey for this special two-day plein air oil workshop in the Flint Hills and you will learn the outdoor painting secrets of the pros. Through on-location demonstrations and discussion, John will teach you the basics that go into creating a successful plein air painting. There is no better way to learn and have fun at the same time!
Participants are responsible for bringing their own supplies. A list of required materials and equipment will be provided. Participants should be appropriately dressed for the current weather conditions. Meet at the Konza Prairie Biological Station Nature Trail kiosk.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited so sign up today at www.flinthillsdiscovery.org/masters or call 785.587.2726.
