Event Description:

It's time to HIKE!

The Perry Lake Trail is 29 miles of back country hiking including steep and rocky inclines and declines. Terrain is challenging with passage through pastures, woodlands, over rocky creeks and through some rough brush. There is one section on gravel road which strangely isn't the easiest section ;-)

When: October 22nd and 23rd Check in at 8am both days

What: Hiking 29 Miles - our pace will be approximately 30 minute miles at the front of the group and 45 minute miles at the end of the group.

We will meet at our Dirty Girl Basecamp at 8am to load the Dirty Girl Bus for a ride to the PLT trail head. From there we will hike about 7 miles to our lunch stop. After lunch, we will hike about 7 miles to end at Dirty Girl Basecamp. We will have a delicious hot dinner around the campfire. The next morning we'll get up and repeat our activities on the opposite side of the trail with about 7 miles before lunch and 8 after lunch to end up back at Dirty Girl Basecamp!

If you would prefer to camp Friday night, you are welcome at basecamp anytime after 6pm to set up your tents - dinner is on your own Friday night.

YOU PROVIDE: Your own hiking gear, your own camping gear, your own trail snacks and a hydration pack or other means of carrying water. We'd like you to bring your own water for both days although we will haul enough to refill at lunch each day.
