Event Description:

Explore the woods at MacLennan Park (Cedar Crest). These oak-hickory woods have an abundance of native woodland wildflowers. We will hike on the Kansas Trails Council’s trails at MacLennan Park and scout for wildflowers. The first wildflowers of the season will be blooming: fawn lily (both the pink and the white species) and Dutchman's breeches. Meet at the parking lot on the west side of the governor mansion

What to Bring: For outdoor events we recommend bringing sturdy footwear, long pants, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat and water!

Location Details: From I-70, take the Fairlawn exit, go north to Cedar Crest and take a left, follow road to parking lot. After the walk, we will go out for dinner and drinks at El Mezcal at 21st & Fairlawn.
