Event Description:

For over 30 years, the Capitol Classic has allowed riders a great way to explore Topeka and northeast Kansas.

This year’s event includes multiple opportunities to learn Kansas history and experience the beauty of the Kaw River Valley, and a first ever fat tire gravel road option.

The fat tire gravel road ride will total 32 miles and follow the old river road between Topeka and Lecompton. The route is suitable for mountain or cross bikes and can be a great warm-up for other gravel rides later in the season.

Registration is $25 for KVBC Members, $30 for non-members and includes excellent, fully stocked sag stops and roving sag support. A late fee of $5 applies after April 25. Ride Start is at the Kansas Judicial Center parking lot, directly south of the State Capitol at SW 10th and Harrison.

What to Bring: Bicycle and helmet are required.
